Tip: If you want to make the certificate invitation instead of buying them, just use a few of your plane white printing paper.  Get some colored markers and make designs around the edges for a cute border.  Then fill in some information such as...

Make your own Caulk Board Invitation

Supplies:

• Squared mini magnetic bulletin boards
• 1 piece of black construction paper
• 1 piece of designed paper (scrapbook sheets are great!)
• Caulk (any color)
• Scissors
• Glue

What to do:

1. Take your squared bulletin board and outline it on your designed paper, about 4" by 4"
2. Cut out the squared paper, then glue in onto the squared bulletin board
3. Then cut out a 3" by 3" of the black construction paper (this will be the caulk board), glue it on the squared bulletin board
4. Here you will write with you caulk the invitation information
5. To finish it off, you can add some stickers, colorful tacks, or ribbon

Backpack Invitations

The most charming back to school party invitations.  These will look so awesome and the kids will love it!  To add more charm to these great invitations you can create a pouch where a special pencil will go to each guest with each invitation.  Now, let get started on new beginnings!!

Recommended grade level:1 to grade 8

Supplies:

• Designed paper or scrapbook paper
• Cardstock paper
• Gel pens
• Back to school stickers
• Cutout or outline of a backpack
• Scissors
• Glue

What to do:

1. Take your card stock paper, and fold it in half, like a regular card
2. Take your cutout of the backpack, put it on the cardstock paper, trace and cut it out
3. But be sure you don't cut the left side of the card, you want to be able to turn it open
4. On this blank card, your can now cut out 2 strips from you designed paper
5. This will be the straps of the back pack
6. Secure these with glue on the backside of the backpack
7. On the face of the backpack you can make pouches, faux zippers, add stickers, and scrapbook charms
8. On the inside of the card you will add the details such the: location, date, time and RSVP

Red Apple Invitations

Charming for the little ones!  These back to school party invitations are a classic, but quite unique all at the same time.  They are easily bought but simply made.  Making the invitation gives you that opportunity to personalize and add that charm that all kids love so much!  So, get creating on making the best back to school party invitation ever!

Recommended grade level:1 to grade 5

Supplies:

• Red and green cardstock paper
• White paper
• Back to school stickers
• Glitter glue or markers
• White ribbon
• Hole puncher
• Scissors
• Glue Stick

What to do:

1. Take your red paper and cut out apple shapes the size of a large apple, you will need 2 apples for 1 invitation (as much needed for guests)
2. Then take your green paper and cut out leaves for the apples, you will need 2 per apple invitation
3. On one apple, which will be the face of your card, here you can put the back to school stickers and "you're invited"
4. Jazz up the face with your glitter glue or markers with designs
5. On the second apple, which will be the inside of the card, take your white paper and cut a circle shape and glue it on
6. Here you will add the location, date, time and RSVP
7. Put your apples together, punch a hole through both and run your cute ribbon through it to secure them together
8. Last but not least, glue on your leaves and rub some green glitter glue on it.  A master piece, easy and fun!
