  • List of 20+ Christmas Characters and Activity
  • A hat or bowl to put the names in

What to Do:

  1. Before your Christmas gathering, write down 20 or more holiday characters and activity
  2. Put then in bowl
  3. Doing this before the gathering will save you time for the kids during the gathering
  4. Determine who will begin
  5. The one IT will act out the Christmas character or Activity
  6. The one who guesses correctly, is the next one up

How Many Players: 3 + of all ages

Object: To guess who you are from hint by other players

Supplies:

  • Names of Christmas Characters on blank printing paper
  • Tape

What to do:

  1. Before the holiday gathering, prepare all the Christmas characters on plain printing paper
  2. Or you can use holiday themes paper to add to the gathering and prepare on your computer
  3. As guess arrive secure the tag on their backs
  4. Remember, don't let the kids or adult see who they are
  5. During the holiday gathering, each person will mimic the character labeled on their backs
  6. And he or she has to guess who they are.

Pass the Cotton Ball

This is an amazingly funny and adorable Christmas games for kids for the whole family to play.  This cool game is a race, but at the same time you must be really slow.  If you go too fast then the cotton ball will fly off and you have to start all over.  Roll the camcorder on this one! Everyone will be laughing hysterically! 

How Many Players: 10 +

Object: Pass the cotton ball without dropping or touching it

Type: Easy, hilarious and entertaining for a group

Supplies:

  • 10+ Players
  • 1 spoon per player
  • 2 Cotton balls
  • Some tunes (optional)

What to do:

  • Create two teams of 5 or more
  • Have everyone stand in a line, making two rows
  • Give a spoon to each player
  • The player puts the cotton ball on their spoon and
  • On your mark, get set, GO!
  • Then each player has to pass the cotton ball with their spoons
  • And all players cannot touch the cotton ball, even if it falls
  • Spoons only!
  • The one that gets the cotton ball from front to back, back to front, without dropping it WINS!
  • If a players drops the cotton ball, it must go back to the front and start all over!

Tip: To add some Christmas flare to the little fuss ball, sprinkle it with glitter! And for the spoons, before the gathering decorate the spoons with ribbon and artificial greenery.  Perhaps add some bells for that Christmas jingle! 

 

Pass the Gift

Pass the Gift is one of the best Christmas games for kids!  For a stress free and sociable game, try this one!  It is fun and entertaining and the kids will have a blast!

How Many Players:3+

Object: To get the gift last!

Type: Easy and Fun!

Supplies:

  • 1 gift
  • Christmas wrapping paper
  • Tape
  • Music

What to do:

  1. Before the gathering, wrap the gift up several times
  2. At least more then 20 times
  3. Get all the kids to sit in a circle
  4. Turn on the music, when the music stops
  5. The one with the gift opens one  layer of wrap
  6. Continue this rhythm until the gift is exposed
  7. The one that unwraps the last layer, WINS!

Tip: To add some challenge or difficulty to the Christmas game for kids, get the kids to wear a pair of mittens when unwrapping.  This will create that extra laughter and spice to the gathering!

 

Pin the Nose on Rudolph

Christmas games for kids are fun and east! This one has the same idea as Pin the Tail on the Donkey.  Its a classic but still remains to be quite entertaining for everyone.  Don't want to use Rudolph?  That's ok!  You can simply create any Pin the Tail, from...

  • Pin the Carrot on Frosty

  • Pin the Antlers on Dasher

  • Pin the Glasses on Santa

  • Pin the Star on the Christmas Tree

Get Creative!  Or simply write a few down and get the kids to pull one from a hat!  You don't have a lot of time? No worries!  Grab a few things from you locate dollar store such as...

  • Bristol Board

  • Glue Stick

  • Markers

  • Christmas Stickers

And hand them over to the kids!  Depending on their age, they can create the game themselves.  Its fun and entertaining.  The kids will soar with imagination and have a festive time. 

How Many Players: 3 +

Object: To get the nose on the target

Type: Simple and create for all ages

Supplies:

  • A large print or Rudolph or get the kids to create one
  • Red circle stickers
  • Tape
  • Blindfold

What to do:

  1. Take your picture of Rudolph and put it at the height on the children
  2. Give each player a red sticker
  3. Be sure to outline the target
  4. Blind fold each player, turn him or her twice
  5. Guide player to target
  6. The one closest to the target WINS!
