A Spooktacular Haunted House

When making spooktacular haunted house, pick one or the second largest room in your house.  Such as a.....

• Den

An indoor haunted house is always best since the weather is very unpredictable.  When picking your haunted house area, the next step is to.....

• Clear and clean the area

• Push furniture object against the wall

• Remove breakable objects.  This way your party is worry free!

For the spooktacular walls

• 20 to 30 Garbage bags

• 10 Clear garbage bags

• Tarp

• Green painters tape

Lighting & Music

• Strobe lights

1. Cut both clear and black garbage bags so that you extend it's width.  That is, cutting down one side of the garbage bag and then alongside the bottom of the bag. Leaving one side untouched

2. When all bags are cut, tape two of them together.  Here, you can mix some clear and black bags together.  Make little windows, or peak holes

3. Next, secure them with your green painters tape down the center of the room. 

4. Here, you are creating a maze like walk through, a zigzag pattern or a "S" shape for a more exiting walk through.  Be as creative as you'd like!

Now that your walls are done.  Add your lighting!  A great kids Halloween party idea is to sit the strobe lighting on the floor facing up.  This way you don't have to worry about the lighting being knocked over.  For some scary surprises in the haunted house you can.....

1. Make a coffin out of cardboard and ask a friend help spook the kids by getting dressed up as a zombie.  Stand in the coffin, so when the kids enter the haunted house, your friend can give a little spook.

2. Hang bats, spiders, scary masks, and pumpkins down from the ceiling

3. Sit clowns in the corner of the walk though with flashing lights pointing at it.
