Kids Summer Outdoor Games!

Summer is here!  So lets get out the gear and play some kids summer outdoor games.  Playing outside gives the kids room to.....

• And have Fun

The weather is great, the sun is shining!  So here are some great and fun games for your kids party.  These games are checked for

• Fun

• Fairness

• And equality

No worries!  The kids will have a BLAST and all will be winners!  So let's  get start!  Here is a listing of some awesome games that will be a hit at your kids party.  These games are also great for outdoor kids camp games.

Wacky Crocket

How many players: Great for a Group

Object: Get through all obstacles and finish first!

Type: Easy and fun kids summer outdoor games

Supplies:

• Crocket set or create your own (crocket balls, sticks and pass throughs)
• Music to create excitement
• Stuff for each pass through, like jokes, slip-n-slide, bucket of water balloons, bowl of sour treats
• A turning point, use a pylon or flag

What to do:

1. Before your outdoor party games, get all the obstacles ready to go
2. Place the pass throughs away from each other in a zig zag form
3. Or set up crocket the normal playing way
4. Beside each pass through you will put the obstacles beside it, such as a bucket of water balloons they will burst over their heads, next pass through you would put the next such as the, tell a joke out loud, and the next pass through, eat a sour treat etc.
5. Make sure you have your turning point, after the turning point the kids will go back and repeat the obstacles
6. The one that finishes first wins!

Ideas of some obstacles you can add at each pass through:

• Tell a Joke out loud
• Burst a Water Balloon over your head
• East something Sour
• Go down the Slip-n-Slide
• Do a Cart Wheel
• Dance for 5 seconds

Tip:  If the weather is hot, try adding a sprinkler in the center of the kids summer outdoor games to keep the kids cool. 

When getting ready for the game put all obstacles in a bucket and set them 2 feet away from the pass though since the crochet ball may hit it and knock them down.

Red Rover

Free kids party games!  There is no cost for this fun and entertaining game to play outdoors.  If you have a small group or a large group this game will keep the kids entertained for hours.  Red rover is also perfect for outdoor kids camp games!

How many players: 8 or more

Object: To break the line formed by opposite team

Type: Running and having fun!

Supplies:

• 8 or more kids
• Large outdoor space

What to do:

1. Field two teams and have them stand far across from each other
2. Have each team form on large line, holding hands, and facing the other team
3. Then the opposite team yells "Red Rover, Red Rover send... (name of child in other team)...Right Over!
4. The team that yells hangs on tight, and tries to catch the runner
5. If he/she breaks the line then the runner steals one on their team members and joins the opposite team
6. If he/she does not break the line, then the runner joins that team
7. Keep playing until all players are connected to the winning line

Safety Tip: 

If there are small kids playing the kids summer outdoor games too, make sure before the game to tell the big kids not to run hard through the little one.  This might hurt their little arms.  It's about playing, not winning with this one.  In the end their all winners!

Spot Dancing

How many players: 2+

Object: Don't get caught dancing!

Type: Easy, Fun and Hilarious kids summer outdoor games

Supplies:

• Two Judges
• One music controller to stop the music
• A dance area
• All your happy kids

What to do:

1. Everyone gather on your dance floor
2. While the music plays everyone dances
3. When the music stops the last one caught dancing is out!
4. The judges will determine who that last one was caught dancing
5. Keep playing until there is only one dancer left. 
6. Then he or she wins!

Tip: Record the action!  These game are so  unpredictable and anything can happen, so why not catch the fun and laughter on camera!
